Job Description
WSYR-TV Newschannel 9, the Nexstar ABC television affiliate in Syracuse, NY seeks a Managing Producer to help lead our winning news team. The market leader in beautiful Central New York is expanding its operation, launching an all-new television streaming platform. The Managing Producer plays a pivotal role in our mission to grow a news audience on all platforms, broadcast, digital, OTT, and social.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Coach and teach teammates to grow in confidence and capability in areas outlined here
+ Use informed news judgment, showcasing techniques, and news research to lead the team in building newscasts and streams which serve the needs and meet the preferences of our local viewers
