We are looking for a skilled Machinist or Machinist Apprentice to join our team. You will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment following company procedures and quality control practices. A great machinist needs to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. They must have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions. The goal is to ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual and automated machinery as assigned and instructed by supervisor
- Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- General housekeeping duties around the shop (sweeping, cleaning, organizing)
- Assist with inventory control and management
- Train junior crew members on use of machines
- Assist with packaging parts and preparing them for shipment
