Job Description
Title: Manufacturing Machinist
Location: Devens MA
Shift - 1st Shift
Duration: Direct Hire.
NOTE: The manager wants a person to have worked with tight tolerances (within .003 inches), inspection equipment, and blueprint reading.
Operates one or more production machines working from blueprints, sketches, and route sheets. Works with general guidance in a team environment. Looks for ways to increase productivity and reduce costs.
1. Sets up and runs production machines. Performs machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, grinding, and deburring parts, where the materials, tooling, and sequence of operations have been pre planned and established. Makes necessary machine adjustments and reports improper functioning for correction.
2. Performs these operations to close tolerances.
