Summary This vacancy is for a GS-1801-12, Marine Inspector located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SECTOR NORTH CAROLINA INSPECTIONS DIVISION in WILMINGTON, North Carolina. Responsibilities You will serve as a Marine Inspector and you will provide technical expertise and leadership in the enforcement of marine safety, vessel inspection, pollution prevention, vessel manning, regulations, treaties, and international conventions. The Marine Inspector also serves as the civilian resident Preventions Department source for continuity of previous inspection policies, technical issues, special program support activity and a primary inspection representative with the maritime industry responsible for commercial vessel safety.
