Job Summary and Responsibilities
Serves at the executive level, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic objectives and goals, allocating and managing capital/human resources, and general day-to-day operational accountability for assigned areas. Overall accountability and responsibility for 1 quaternary care academic medical center, 8 acute care hospitals, and 2 free-standing Emergency Departments. Has direct line authority over facility presidents overseeing multiple hospitals within Houston, including an academic medical center in the Texas Medical Center. The position will be responsible for producing exceptionally high employee engagement. Will be responsible for the overall goal of increasing organizational effectiveness and revenues for assigned areas, developing annual operating budgets for those areas, and accountable for operating within established budgets.
