Job Description

Summary The typical seasonal period is August-December but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of journey-level masonry work needed to maintain, repair, alter, and construct exterior and interior surfaces/structures built of a variety of brick, block, and/or stone. Responsibilities Duties: Repairs and maintains historic masonry on buildings, parapets, and boundary fences, chimneys, fireplaces, manholes, and boilers. Must be able to match existing historic surfaces. Have comprehensive knowledge of mixing techniques, applications etc. Extensive skills in cutting and shaping block, terra cotta, brick and stone. Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications independently and determine the layout and work sequences.
