Job Description
Overview
The Material Handler I reports directly to the Material Supervisor and utilizes knowledge of design build electrical industry materials to perform logistics tasks such as receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the M.C. Dean warehouse and from suppliers. The Material Handler I has a solid understanding of the Logistics Service Center processes and procedures and works on a wide variety of tasks and may assist with solving problems.
Responsibilities
+ Receiving, verifying, and counting stock items and keeping record of the corresponding data as appropriate.
+ Verifying specific inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock.
+ Investigating inventory discrepancies and reconciling errors accordingly.
+ Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in material storage areas.
