MATERIALS HANDLER

Summary You will serve as a Materials Handler of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND. Responsibilities You will perform routine warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, and issuing and staging/kitting material (may handle hazardous and/or explosive materials). You will receive and stow materials and supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring that materials are segregated by hazard types with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) attached as required. You will research and report damaged goods or shipment shortages; Load and unload materials and places in correct locations or storage areas. You will mark material packaging or labels material for proper identification, and take appropriate action for special categories of material such as Level I, Depot Level Repairable, Arms, Ammunition and Explosives, etc. You will perform physical inventory counts and location audits to maintain inventory validity.
