Mechanical Design Engineer

Aligned to 1st shift Eastern time zone working hours

• Execute 2D & 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys


• Perform typical post-processing exercises such as LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, summarize bolted joint behavior, strength evaluations, etc.


• Pull CAD models from PLM


• Work CAD models in Siemens NX


• Summarize and document analytical results


• Support automation of typical tasks with Python as needed


• Support defect evaluation through analysis


• Present on routine project status meetings


• Strong communication skills


• Highly collaborative and works well in a team environment
