Job Description As a Mechanical Design Engineer in Dematic's General Project Engineering organization, you will gather critical project information (building/joist design, Dematic system design, and project/customer requirements) to create header steel support solutions to hang the automation system from the building/support structure, on-time, and on-budget, while upholding critical checks and balances from the project team and customer.
This will require designing the header steel support solution into Dematic's CAD software to determine point loads, create and verify BOMs, and create installation drawings of the solution.
Header steel solutions can range from a simple, single-line conveyor path to more complex, multi-line and multi-level conveyor and catwalk systems.
