Mechanical Design Engineer

£45,000 - £60,000 DOE
SF Engineering are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be a key member of the Engineering Department, providing expertise in the design, manufacture, and repair of complex machinery.
The role will support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions across a variety of projects.
Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of machinery, including stators, rotors, assemblies, upgrades, and retrofit projects
- Provide engineering leadership across all project phases, working closely with clients and stakeholders
- Use simulation and modelling tools to validate performance and compliance with requirements
- Oversee and participate in testing activities, both in-factory and on-site
- Carry out diagnostics, condition analysis, and life-cycle evaluations, producing clear technical reports
