Job Description
- Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro-mechanisms and transmission systems
- Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate Fabrication and Assembly of prototype designed and pilot run articles
- Perform FMEA & carry out other design simulation required
- Review and evaluate vendors for performance
- Use computer-aided design software to create 2D technical drawings from 3D files
- Handle assignments under minimal supervision and tight schedule
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls with customers
- Discuss with customer on:
- Dimensions, tolerances and material requirements
- critical/functional area
- assembly and inspection methods
- purchased parts with specific brands or models
- assembly drawing and BOM lists
- revision to technical drafts based on the discussion
