Responsibilities
+ Prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies.
+ Verify claim accuracy and ensure compliance with payer requirements and healthcare regulations.
+ Review and post insurance and patient payments accurately.
+ Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
+ Follow up on outstanding claims to maximize reimbursement and reduce aging accounts receivable.
+ Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to ensure accurate payment processing.
+ Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare staff regarding billing inquiries and account resolution.
+ Maintain detailed documentation of billing activities and account follow-up efforts.
