About the Role
The Associate Analyst – Medical Coding will transform healthcare diagnoses, procedures, and services into universal codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance guidelines.
- Apply strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ensure accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing
- Review patient history and apply global modifiers
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information
- Actively contribute to team discussions and uphold customer service standards.
- Certification in medical coding (AAPC or AHIMA: CPC, CGSC, COC) (Ideal)
- Understanding of US healthcare and HIPAA
- Experience with RCM software
- Minimum 1 year of medical coding/denial experience or US Healthcare
