Job Description
Medical Coder Trainee
The Medical Coder Trainee will be responsible for learning and applying coding standards for medical diagnoses and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coding medical records.
- Learn to use coding software.
- Participate in training sessions.
Experience Requirements
- Non‑IP Coders: At least 1 year of Profee, ED, OBS, or SDS coding experience.
- IP Coders: At least 6 months of IP coding experience.
Qualifications
- Must have an active certification: CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS‑P, or CPC‑A.
- Licensed PHRN or graduate of any Medical Allied Course.
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills.
- Eager to learn and grow through the CSU.
