Summary Of Duties

Hematology and Coagulation Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) activities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide technical, scientific education, and supportive services to assist in the provision of patient care.
• Perform routine automated and manual testing in Haematology and Coagulation, and verify/interprets laboratory results.
• Promote activities that enhance best practice for quality of service and a safe working environment.

Qualifications / Skills

• Current C.M.L.T.O. Registration as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist required.
• Recent Haematology experience required.
• Recent Morphology experience preferred.
• Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge in Haematology and Coagulation.
• Demonstrated sound knowledge of Quality Control theory and its application in troubleshooting.
