Responsibilities
Diagnose and stage cancer through comprehensive patient evaluation including physical exams, reviewing medical history, and ordering diagnostic tests like biopsies and imaging. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans encompassing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and hormonal therapy tailored to the specific cancer type and patient needs. Prescribe and manage systemic therapies, meticulously monitoring patients for side effects and adjusting treatment protocols to optimize efficacy and minimize toxicity. Coordinate multidisciplinary care, collaborating with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists and other specialists to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
Qualifications
