The work requires a practical knowledge of the techniques of medical laboratory practice and the reports of findings of tests and examinations may be used by physicians in diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients. Responsibilities The Medical Technician performs nonprofessional technical work in one or more areas of the Clinical Laboratory, such as phlebotomy, accessioning and processing, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology.
