Clinical Pathology Laboratory Position
The Clinical Pathology Laboratory is responsible for providing accurate, timely diagnostic test results for patients of the hospitals that are part of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, as well as test results for research animals. Laboratory testing includes hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, fluid analysis/cytology, blood banking, and miscellaneous test procedures. Laboratory personnel also play a role in the education of veterinary hospital staff on the principles of diagnostic testing and good preanalytic specimen handling.
What You'll Do
This position involves the performance of many specific diagnostic tests including, but not limited to, CBC, urinalysis, coagulation, serology and parasitology along with the operation of automated laboratory instrumentation according to procedures outlined in the laboratory SOPs.
