Job Description
Transcribe laboratory dictations, pathology reports, histopathology findings, microbiology reports, and diagnostic summaries.
Edit and proofread laboratory reports for accuracy, grammar, and correct medical terminology.
Ensure reports follow approved laboratory formats and templates.
Ensure timely completion of transcription within defined turnaround times (TAT).
Ensure correct use of laboratory terminology, units, reference ranges, and abbreviations.
Verify patient identifiers, dates, and physician details for accuracy.
Flag discrepancies, unclear dictations, or missing information for clarification.
Upload, edit, and manage reports in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) / Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).
