Overview and Responsibilities Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) has partnered with several Wisconsin municiple fire departments to assist with their hiring needs. Each partnering fire department accepts applications through CVTC's online application portal and interviews/hires independantly. In order to by eligible for employment, candidates must have successfuly completed CVTC's Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) and the Ergometrics FireTEAM written exam. Both tests are offered through CVTC's fire program periodically. Details of this process and the testing schedule can be found at Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to EMS (Emergency Medical Services), firefighting, and rescue operations. Physical Testing Candidates will be required to pass the International Association of Fire Fighters CPAT test.
