Job Description
Join the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This full-time temporary role focuses on outpatient substance use and concurrent disorder services.
In this position, your assessments and care plans will guide clients through their recovery from dual challenges. Working alongside psychologists and psychiatrists, you will deliver patient-centric care using evidence-based practices. Community outreach is also essential, expanding access to mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee triage, assessment, and follow-up care
• Collaborate for psychological assessments in concurrent disorders
• Formulate and implement initial care plans
• Advocate for and support protected client care practices
• Educate staff and community groups on best practices
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience
• Registered Nurse in Extended Class with CNO
