Metal Fabricator

Wayward Machine Co is hiring fabricators! We are looking to fill positions that include temporary summer help, as well as long term employment. We are a custom metal fabrication shop in Chicago, Illinois that produces high quality metal furniture, doors and partitions, as well as a variety of other metalwork for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients. While the majority of our work is done in steel, we also work with aluminum, stainless steel, and brass. Our team is looking to add on another experienced skilled fabricator.

Interview:
The interview will include a weld test. Please be prepared with your own welding hood and gloves.

Job description:

• Full time (40 hours)
• This is a fabrication position, NOT a production welding position. You will be responsible for all aspects of fabrication including accurately reading a print, cutting and prepping material, welding and metal finishing.
