Metallurgy Technician

**Overview**

Element has an opportunity for a **Metallurgy Technician** whose primary responsibility is to perform routine, metallurgical, mechanical, failure, corrosion testing facilitating metallurgy operations at site or at a laboratory.

Salary: $26- $28/hr DOE

**Responsibilities**

+ Review specifications and customer paperwork to ensure testing is set up correctly
+ Perform standard and non-standard metallurgical evaluations (castings, grain size, recast, microstructure analysis, microhardness, corrosion testing, etc.)
+ Communicate with clients on matters of concern/interest
+ Prepare and review customer reports

**Skills / Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Metallurgy or a related field
+ 2-4 years of experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing
+ Good knowledge of interpreting specifications
