Metrology Technician (Hourly)

**Role Overview**

The Metrology Technician develops, evaluates, and maintains the sophisticated calibration systems used to measure physical and chemical phenomena. You will define the standards for length, mass, time, temperature, and electrical current, ensuring that all instrumentation meets rigorous accuracy and precision requirements. This is a highly technical role that combines physics, mathematics, and engineering to quantify and minimize measurement uncertainty.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Measurement System Governance: Develop, evaluate, and maintain sophisticated calibration systems. Define the standards for base and derived units (length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, pressure, flow, velocity).
+ Precision Metrology & Inspection: Serve as the division expert for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Program, set up, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Use other precision tools like height gauges, optical compa...
