Job Description
Welding: Joining metal components of ships using various welding processes such as stick welding (SMAW), MIG, and TIG welding.
Material Preparation: Cutting, fitting, and preparing metal parts for welding, including grinding, beveling, and aligning.
Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and understanding technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and specifications.
Quality Control: Inspecting welds for defects, ensuring proper penetration, and adherence to quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Following all safety regulations and procedures related to welding, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of welding equipment.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of welding equipment.
