Purpose

To provide strategic leadership for the Mineral Resource (MR) department of Lion One. The incumbent is responsible for planning, monitoring, reporting and delivery of all MR activities. The key objective of the role is to increase the value of the mineral resource asset through improved utilisation, resource growth, discovery, or acquisition/divestment.

Key Accountabilities or Activities

• Manage the delivery of approved work programs
• Manage work allocation to ensure resource replenishment
• Human Resources – recruitment, training and succession planning
• Orebody knowledge and mineral system studies
• Implement business improvement programs
• Production reporting
• Wireframe and block model development
