Mold Design Engineer

Responsibilities: Analyze product designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency (DFM). Develop 3D/2D tool designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for plastic injection molding. Create mold design layouts, lead design reviews, and ensure accuracy. Design precision molds meeting product specs and production standards. Manage mold projects, coordinate with teams and customers. Prepare bills of materials, maintain documentation for traceability. Participate in First-Off Tool reviews and evaluate tool readiness. Analyze tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions. Develop complex mold designs for production release. Apply knowledge of plastics and elastomers for informed design decisions. Utilize 3D modeling and GD&T expertise for design precision. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, collaborate as a team player. Requirements: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and GD&T.
