Summary This position is located in the Transportation Section of the Engineering Service at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System in Castle Point, NY. Responsibilities The Motor Vehicle Operator is responsible for providing all transportation assistance to the medical center, which includes transporting patients and family members, supplies equipment, construction material, office and hospital furniture, and clean linen and uniforms. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operates a variety of motor vehicles including cargo, van, trucks, and buses, which are gasoline or diesel powered with approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds and up to 32,000 pounds. Transports patients and family members, supplies, materials, or equipment throughout the medical center complex and the local public area.
