Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor

Summary This position supervises Motor Vehicle Operators within the National Park Service Roads and Trails, Maintenance Division at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The role oversees trades and labor work on a regular, full-time, and ongoing basis. Responsibilities The major duties of the Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor position include, but are not limited to, the following: Plan, assign, and direct work of Motor Vehicle Operators, equipment operators, and mechanics. Develop work schedules (weekly/monthly) and adjust for priorities/emergencies. Direct snow and ice control operations using plow trucks, spreaders, and heavy equipment. Supervise pothole repair, crack sealing, shoulder maintenance, and roadway preservation projects. Act as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), or interact with contracting officers, vendors and contractors on construction, rehabilitation, maintenance contracts and procurement issues.
