Overview
Responsibilities
Lead daily guided rides on both lift-accessed downhill trails and cross-country networks. Deliver age-appropriate instruction on fundamental skills: braking, cornering, body positioning, and trail etiquette. Assess rider ability levels and select appropriate terrain to ensure a Challenge-by-Choice environment. Perform basic trailside mechanical checks and minor repairs (flat tires, chain drops).
The Mountain Bike Camp Counselor is responsible for providing a safe, high-energy, and educational experience for youth campers ages 8–13. This role combines beginner to intermediate bike instruction with general camp supervision. You will lead groups through downhill (DH) and cross-country (XC) terrain, facilitate off-bike mountain activities, and ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all participants.
