Job Summary Provide technical support for diagnostic laboratory testing and specimen management. Perform routine specimen collection, processing, and documentation while adhering to laboratory safety and quality standards. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Collect patient specimens using venipuncture, capillary puncture, urine collection, and other approved methods while verifying patient identity and labels. Process, prepare and aliquot specimens for testing, centrifuge samples, and prepare slides or media as required. Operate, calibrate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment according to standard operating procedures. Perform quality control checks, document results, and report any discrepancies to supervisory staff. Enter and maintain accurate specimen and test information in laboratory information systems and paper records.
