NOC 72102 - Sheet metal workers

Job Summary Perform sheet metal fabrication, installation and repair for building and mechanical systems. Read drawings and specifications to produce, assemble and install metal components to project standards. Number of Positions 4 Main Duties Interpret blueprints, sketches and specifications to determine dimensions and material requirements. Measure, mark, cut, bend and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools and fabrication machinery. Assemble and fasten components, install ductwork, metal roofing and other sheet metal assemblies on site. Perform welding, soldering and sealing of metal joints to ensure structural integrity and air-tightness. Inspect finished work, perform adjustments and repair existing sheet metal installations as needed. Follow safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment, and keep accurate records of materials and labor.
