Summary:
Under the supervision of the Supervisor Nuclear Medicine, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, measures, and administers radionuclides in therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies on adolescent through geriatric patients as prescribed by Radiologist or Endocrinologist. He/she will be expected to diagnosis or troubleshoot equipment and software failures in order to successfully identify and resolve such issues. This position may act in a preceptor role to Nuclear Medicine Technologist I associate. The incumbent performs duties and tasks in accordance with performance standards established for the job. The incumbent may have access to highly confidential patient, employee and/or organizational proprietary information, and must handle and protect the information in accordance with hospital and system policies, HIPAA requirements and the highest level of ethical standards.
