Job Description

Nurse Externs work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. They perform multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification in patient care. Assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for patients' personal needs, comfort, and safety. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and walking. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.

PRN Status Clause:

PRN / “as-needed” means you are not guaranteed a fixed schedule or hours. You work when they have needs in the schedule. You must be available to work at least 12 hours every two weeks (bi-weekly minimum), as specified in your PRN Commitment Agreement. Your actual ho...
