Summary The Nurse Manager (NM) demonstrates leadership, experience, and creative approaches in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. Provides and directs care for patients generally ranging in age from 18 through the geriatric years, taking into consideration diagnoses and physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs. May cover in the absence of other team members and coordinate patient admissions, dischargers, and transfers. Responsibilities The Nurse Manager (NM) is the designated first-line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the operation of their assigned units and provides coverage for other NMs as needed. Maybe assigned to oversee other Primary Care Clinics to include the ACC or another CBOC as needed by the service.
