The role. The Nurse Manager of Surgical Services oversees the daily operations of the Operating Room department, including the OR, CVOR, anesthesia, and sterile processing areas. The manager directs a multidisciplinary team that includes RNs, CSTs, first assistants, schedulers, OR aides, anesthesia staff, and sterile processing technicians — responsible for scheduling, performance evaluations, hiring input, and disciplinary actions.
