Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology

Summary The Long Beach VA Health Care System is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join the Hematology/Oncology Infusion Clinic. Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible for evaluating and helping manage Hematology/Oncology patients coming to the Infusion Clinic for assessment and/or various treatments of the full spectrum of hematological conditions and malignancies. The incumbent will function in close collaboration with the Infusion Clinic nurses and other personnel, pharmacists, administrative staff, trainees including Hematology/Oncology Fellows, Hematology/Oncology Staff Physicians and various other healthcare personnel and teams.The position reports to the Chief of Hematology/Oncology. Duties include, but are not limited to: Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention using evidence-based practice.
