Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry (Hourly) - Blaisdell ATC

Duties Description *All Hourly positions with the NYS Office of Addiction Services & Supports (OASAS) are utilized on an “as needed” basis, and as such there is no guarantee of work hours or a set schedule. Any/all questions should be directed to incumbent will perform the following general duties:
• Review referral agency reports, document medical histories, and perform psychiatric evaluations and documentation; provide infirmary-type care (., examine patient, order, and/or render treatment as necessary and follow-up as necessary).
• Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order medications and procedures.
• Authorize admissions and render admitting diagnoses.
• Assist in patient discharge planning, especially in terms of health care needs.
• Provide individual and group health education and risk reduction counseling.
