The Nurse Scientist serves as a system-level leader responsible for advancing nursing research, implementation science and clinical inquiry across the organization. This role operationalizes, sustains and evaluates infrastructure that supports nurses at all levels in generating, translating and disseminating nursing knowledge to improve patient outcomes, professional practice and the healthcare system.
The Nurse Scientist works directly with the Manager for Clinical Inquiry to promote a culture of inquiry by mentoring and coaching nurses in Implementation Science and research methods, leading strategically aligned research activities and bridging the gap between research and clinical practice. This role works collaboratively with nursing leadership, interprofessional partners and academic collaborators to ensure nursing practice is grounded in the best available evidence.
