OB Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech (Part Time)

Summary:

•   Performs diagnostic testing using sound waves to generate an image used for the assessment and diagnosis of medical conditions while making patients feel comfortable during the process.  The Sonographer uses special equipment to direct non-ionizing, high frequency sound waves into the area of the patient’s body.


• The Sonographer operates equipment, which collects reflected echoes and forms an image that may be videotaped, transmitted or photographed for interpretation and diagnosis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians Instructs patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results Follows prescribed safety standards in operating equipment Obtains quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by the Provider Maintains ultrasound and vascular lab equipment in appropr...
