Ocean freight export controller

Overview

DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) is the Group's air, ocean, and road freight specialist. This position is for an Ocean Freight Export Controller located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Job Purpose

Coordinate, control, plan and manage all aspects within the export procedure. The export controller is a vital link within the supply chain process and must have extensive knowledge on both local and destination requirements.

Key Responsibilities Arrange bookings based on customer requirements with various nominated third parties to ensure customer needs are met. Process customer documentation within a required timeframe in accordance to third party and local requirements such as customs and shipping lines. Co‑ordinate movement of cargo within required or stipulated time frames to meet customer needs. Manage and monitor all parties within the supply chain.
