Oil Trading Product Controller — P&L & Risk (Dubai)

A leading oil trading house is seeking a Product Controller to join its Dubai finance team. This person will provide accurate P&L reporting, risk oversight, and financial governance across physical and derivatives oil books.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and explain daily P&L for crude and refined products trading books, including attribution analysis and variance commentary
• Independently validate trader P&L against risk system outputs; investigate and resolve breaks
• Mark and challenge valuation of physical positions, derivatives, and structured products; maintain and develop price curves
• Partner with front office on new trade structures, ensuring trades are correctly captured and accounted for
• Liaise with Risk, Operations, and Finance on control issues, system improvements, and process development
