Job Summary

The Welder/Fabricator III will fabricate metal components to assemble mechanical assemblies, pressure vessels using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys. Tack‑welds or weld components and assemblies, using GTAW, GTMW, electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment. The Welder/Fabricator III may install or repair equipment, such as lead pipes and pressure vessels. Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges, calipers or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology and adherence to welding codes
