UPMC is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support the Ophthalmology Department (Glaucoma) at 1622 Locust St., Pittsburgh, PA 15219. This position works Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with extremely limited travel (<5%) and the flexibility to support other ophthalmology specialties within the building as needed. The Ophthalmic Technician will perform comprehensive patient work-ups across Glaucoma, Motility, and Oculoplastic services, including obtaining detailed patient histories and completing clinical testing such as lensometry, autorefraction, visual acuity, color vision and stereo testing, visual fields, pupil assessment, motilities, tonometry, and dilation.
