Qualifications :
Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited school of optometry
Licensure as an Optometrist in the state of Alaska.
Responsibilities :
Perform vision tests, analyze results and develop a treatment plan
Examine eyes, using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness.
Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
Prescribe therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision.
