Job Description

Oil States Energy Services is currently hiring for a Wireline Field Service Technician at our Broussard, LA location. A Field Service Technician is primarily responsible for the installation, operation, repair, removal, and maintenance of company tools and other oilfield equipment.

This position is primarily OFFSHORE.


POSITION SUMMARY: A Field Service Technician (FST) is primarily responsible for the installation, operation, repair, removal, and maintenance of company tools and other oilfield equipment.

  • FST I Trainee New hire -- still considered SSE -- single product line (required knowledge testing to promote)

  • FST I Single product line – could be non-SSE- Has CDL (if required) and considered a “helper only” on location

  • FST II Trainee Proficient in one or more job types in a single product line- could still be an SSE (required knowledge testing to promote)
