Painter

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting works on residential, commercial and industrial projects
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and applying primer
• Apply paint, varnish and protective coatings using brushes, rollers or spray equipment
• Mix and match paint colors to meet project requirements
• Carry out basic gypsum works including installation, repair, patching and finishing of gypsum board partitions and ceilings
• Carry out touch-ups and minor surface repairs to maintain quality finishes
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Maintain painting tools, equipment and work areas in good condition
• Follow health, safety and environmental regulations at all times
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work on schedule
