Purpose of Classification: Responds to emergency and non-emergency medical calls, disasters, multi-casualty situations, fires and/or all other types of emergencies, to treat illnesses and injuries of adult and pediatric patients, often under stressful and hazardous conditions, while operating under a complex system of standing orders.
