Paramedic

The Paramedic will be able to provide quality care to patients of all ages under the direction of the Medical Director in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Texoma Medical Center. The ED Paramedic reports to the charge nurse for shift assignments and direction of shift duties as assigned. The Paramedic will be responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients under the supervision of the Medical Director. Under the direction of a health care practitioner, the Paramedic provides patient care within a defined scope of practice that includes patient care/observation, specified treatments and procedures; provision of environmental and personal safety, and effective communication. The Paramedic will also be responsible to collect pertinent data within their certification scope of responsibilities, and charts appropriately.
